Judging for the 9th Annual Student Artist Showcase took place at the Lowe Art Museum on the morning of December 5, 2011.

For the second straight year, the Best in Show was awarded to Fernando Ramos, an 12th grader from Coconut Grove’s Academy of Arts and Minds Charter High School under the direction of teacher Mary Abreu. His painting, a self-portrait, is featured on our promotional poster and flyers.

Admission to the Lowe Art Museum is free during the entire Festival, so please come into the Beaux Arts Gallery to view this year’s winning student entries.

Prizes will be awarded at the Student Artist Showcase to be held at the Lowe Art Museum on Thursday, January 5, 2012. This event has been graciously underwritten by JoAnna’s Marketplace.
